57 Top Won't Go Down

Hello, my father's '57 has been parked for 8+ years and only been started a few times in the last few years. The top had always worked up until I got it home. Now it is not even trying to go down.

What should I check first? Is there a fuse or some other place to start?

Turns out there was a switch I had to turn on.

Glad you got it figured out. Sounds like Dad must have wired in a little something extra. Would have been pretty hard to solve that one via the interweb.

I am having additional issues now with the top. I am wondering if there is a mechanic that works on the retractable roof? It seems I remember hearing there is someone in Washinton State? I am in Oregon.

I would appreciate a response and thank you in advance.

There was some one in Washington who worked on them. I could look at it and maybe find the problem, If you can bring it to Albany. I have a 58' and keep it working.
