1958 Retractable Top

At car shows, is it ok to leave the top partially open to show trunk, etc....for an extended time period like 3 hours or is that determental to top mechanism strain due to top weight applying too much pressure, etc.? Thanks....

Hey, that's a great question I've never considered. I've left mine halfway through the cycle like that (for hours) just as you describe. I've seen rows of Skyliners displayed like that at shows. I would think that if there was something to be concerned about, I'd have heard it mentioned by some Retractable-Geek, but never have.
Bottom line is that I don't think so... but I don't really know.
