1958 carpet install

I ordered the cut & sewn carpet set for my 58 skyliner from ACC. I seem to be having difficulty getting the front to sit right. The mat came with a grommet hole preinstalled for the high beam floor button. After starting to lay the carpet from the drivers side, it seems that I am short on the passenger side by an inch or two. Anyone else have this problem?

Has anyone had difficulty installing the carpet. Seems like it shouldn’t be hard, but here I am. Suggestions or tips would be appreciated.

I’ve come to the conclusion that they sent me the wrong set, even though the invoice says 58 skyliner. I spent several hours trying to get this to fit and it ends up short no matter what.

I replaced mine in 2016 and it didn't fit exactly right. The back piece seemed a little short to the back kick panels but not drastically short.
