Using a hoist.

When putting a retractable on a hoist, is it advisable to loosen the roof off of the windshield?
I used to do that when I had regular convertibles.

I've not had a problem either way.

The door margins get a little tight with the top down when on the frame lift.

Doors still open fine though.

I wasn't putting the top down, just backing it off the windshield. I just wasn't sure whether to leave it attached or back it off.

With my 59 it really makes no difference. Easier to get into with the top down though.
