View Full Version : Fuel line from pump to carburetor
SKYLINER 58

I purchased a 58 Skyliner that came with a Holly 4150 carburetor. It has been nothing but a major head ache! I purchased a ford 4100 carburetor to replace the Holly. The only problem is the fuel line from the pump to the carburetor was cut off and replaced with a rubber hose in order to use to Holly. So obviously a need to replace the rubber line with the original type metal line. If any one knows where I can purchase the fuel line please let me know,as I'am desperate. It has a 332 engine.Any help would be very much appreciated and thanks in advance!

I made the same swap. Go to NAPA or your favorite auto parts store and purchase a lenght of pre flared steel line(I think 3/16" but not sure). This soft steel and can be bent with both thumbs, a knee, various size bottles or cans or whatever else does the job. You can even buy a tubing bender for not much money.

Hi Wagonman56
Thank you for your reply and the info. I really appreciate it! Does the steel line come with the fittings that screw into fuel pump and carburetor. And not do you know where I can purchase them? Thanks million for your help and have a great day!

The fuel line is 5/16 not 3/16, if you don't use a tubing bender you will probably kink the line as they are hard to bent without kinking.
