gas tank drain plug

I'm trying to drain the gas tank on a "barn find" 59. Noticed an "L" stamped on the plug. They are rusted from sitting for so long and don't want to break but now I'm wondering if they are reverse threaded. Any help will be appreciated.

The drain plugs in the gas tank are a standard thread. They are available at most auto parts stores. Ron B
